The 270 sq foot studio is of new construction that offers either 1 king bed or a 2 single setups, a private bath and a small kitchen area for rent that is attractively appointed and includes a wide range of conveniences designed to meet the needs of vacationers to Oaxaca.

This home is located in the typical Barrio de Jalatlaco that is so common among colonial cities. With its cobblestone streets, its seventeenth-century temple, and  its vernacular architecture with adobe facades, the traditions and customs can also be seen in its people. The customs and traditions which is the main characteristic of the historic centers comes together to form the heart of the city of Oaxaca.

 

This studio apartment is located on the ground floor of a private home of Mario Navaro, an architect and his lovely wife Norma, a Phlebotomists. They have a small dog that resides with them that is well behaved and quiet. The Studio has its own private entrance right off the main patio. After checking-in renters are given a key to the front door as well as to their studio.

Jalatlaco is centrally located in the heart of Oaxaca and just a 15 minute walk to the Zocolo. Also in Jalatlaco is the Mercado de Merced with its wonderful fruit, vegetables, breads and dairy, and arm-loads of fresh flowers, is just a short walk away! Our location also provides convenient access to many Spanish language schools.

Everyone shares the same access to the main street but you will have your own key to the main door as well as to the room.

 

The housekeeper is on property daily and comes to clean and change your linens once a week. The owners do not speak English but you can contact me at any time for any reason. 

 

Oaxaca offers an extraordinary array of concerts, live theater, lectures and famous art institutes. Classes are offered in painting, sculpture, weaving, dance, photography, and ceramics to name a few. There is a wonderful English language library nearby with a very large collection of books in English.

The bedroom area can be set up to have either one king size or two single beds. The very quiet ceiling fan (42") in bedroom helps keep you cool. The kitchen is complete with 4 burner gas stove, refrigerator, toaster oven, coffee maker, microwave and blender. Common patio area is adorned with potted plants. A small sitting area located just outside your kitchen door is very pleasing. All utilities are included. You only pay for your drinking water, food, and personal items. Perfect for mature couple. Wireless high speed cable included. Non-smokers only and no pets. No children under 15 years of age. Minimal rental age is 21 years. Located at Cinco de Mayo 309 in the neighborhood of Jalatlaco. This Studio  accommodates two persons maximum.
